Stranded Copper-clad steel, #18 gauge. Won't easily break like the solid-wire does.
Ladder line has much lower loss than coax, especially with Antennas that have a naturally elevated SWR (like most multi-band HF antennas).
Pro tip #1 -- it can be difficult to get Ladder Line into the house. Transition to coax right outside the shack, using our QuickMount center insulator.
Pro Tip #2 -- putting a gentle twist in the line greatly reduces wind stress.
