Which size should you order?

First -- the 15, 30, and 45 Amp Powerpoles all use the same housings, and will all mate with each other. Your choice is determined by what wire size you are using. Most likely, 95% or more of your connections can be made with the 30A size. #10 wire is a tight fit in the 30A terminals, and you may not get every strand in. Then again, if a few strands of #10 wire is going to make a difference, you need to be using larger wire! Some folks prefer to use the 15A terminals for #16 and smaller wire. We use the 30A for everything, folding the smaller wires double, triple, or quadruple to get more "meat" inside the barrel of the connector. Either way is fine.

It's important to note that the terminals are all good for a lot more current than what they are called.  Furthermore, the contact "tongues" -- where all the current has to flow -- are just about the same in all three sizes of the terminals.  A 45A terminal is not heavier duty, or lower loss, than a 30A or a 15A terminal.  It simply will accept larger wire.

Bottom line -- determine what size wire your project requires, then order the appropriate Powerpoles.
